COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course is to certify armed guards to carry firearms. Topics covered include escalation and de-escalation of force issues as well as using deadly physical force as justified by law.

Students must demonstrate knowledge and proficiency of armed security guard issues by passing a written test with a minimum score of 70 percent.


Students are required to display shooting proficiency by firing a 50 round qualification, achieving a score of at least 70 percent.

Course Requirements:

-Be 21 years of age or older

-Be a U.S. citizen or lawful resident

-Be free of felonies & domestic violence misdemeanor convictions

-Have prior firearms experience
